Dr. Shontia Johnson
Acupuncturist
Shontia has a BA in Biology from FAU and a BS in Health Science and Masters from Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine. Even though she is usually wielding needles, patients leave her room saying they had the best nap ever. Shontia is known for her nurturing, healing hands and her fabulous, ever-changing hairstyles. We keep her supplied with as many needles as she needs!

Medical Therapist
Natasha graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida. She recently moved to South Florida and enjoys exploring new adventures. She loves to travel, workout, and connect with new people!

Office Manager
Eboni is our office manager. Not only is she amazing behind the desk and has a beautiful singing voice but she also recently graduated as a Massage Therapist. She is as sweet as they come, always happy, courteous and spreading joy throughout the office. Eboni’s vision is to make sure every patient receives optimal care in every aspect of the company.

Diana Beltran recently graduated from Concorde as a Medical Assistant. She is passionate about providing the best possible care for the patients and always strives to create a friendly, and welcoming environment. Outside of work, she loves traveling and exploring new places, and she enjoys staying active with Zumba.

Melisa is a dedicated massage therapist with 9 years of experience in the field, specializing in therapeutic massage. Originally from Argentina, she has built a strong reputation for her skill in promoting relaxation and healing through various massage techniques. Committed to maintaining her own health and well-being, Melisa starts her day with a gym session before heading to work. While she strives to maintain a healthy diet, she embraces a balanced approach to living well. Her passion for both her career and personal wellness is evident in the care she provides to her clients.
Meet the Doctors
Dr. Peter was in school at Life University, School of Medicine when he suffered a severe lower back injury with two herniated discs and a fractured spine. Surgery was not an option, so he sought out the best chiropractors and recovered with their help. It was this journey that exposed Dr. Peter to advanced techniques performed by only a small fraction of chiropractors. He takes great pride in bringing innovative approaches like these to the most challenging of injuries.
Dr. Barbara worked at a chiropractic office while attending St. John’s University to become a pediatrician. She had suffered from debilitating migraines her whole life, but they disappeared after she was examined and treated by the chiropractor. This life-changing experience led Dr. Barbara to become a chiropractor and devote her career to helping patients lead pain-free lives.
Welcome Naveed Shafi, MD
to the team!
Dr. Naveed Shafi received his Board Certification in Sports Medicine in 2003 and has been practicing Sports Medicine and Non-surgical Orthopedics in South Florida ever since.
After earning his M.D., he completed his residency and board certification at the Cleveland Clinic, where he participated as one of the team physicians for the Florida Panthers NHL hockey team, Florida Bobcats professional arena football team, and the Miami Fusion MLS professional soccer team. In addition, his residency experience includes work with Texas Christian University, Southern Methodist University, the Special Olympics, and various high schools.
Dr. Shafi completed fellowship and board certification in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the University of South Carolina, where he served as a team physician for the all 19 of the USC Fighting Gamecocks Division I athletic teams, the Capital City Bombers professional baseball team, the Columbia City Ballet, and several community sponsored road races. He has served as physician for several NCAA championship and Olympic Athletes as well.
In 2006b he served as Medical Director, Professor, and Head Team Physician for all 17 Florida Atlantic University teams. He brings to Back In Line Integrated Health knowledge and expertise in neck, back, and hip pain assessment, traumatic injury rehabilitation, Platelet Rich Plasma use, manipulation under anesthesia, and non-surgical orthopedics. He is a certified Medical Review Officer, and is also certified in Hyperbaric and Dive Medicine.
As a physician and a former certified personal trainer, Dr. Shafi enjoys all aspects of health and fitness in his professional and personal life, and is known by his patients and staff as a charismatic physician that devotes quality time to his patients.
